“I have an idea” was the title of the conference. Last year also Former President Clinton talked about the economic situation, the political situation, various events around the world and how they are affecting USA and the world.

He was more optimistic than a lot of people are and there is evidence of positivity everywhere if we could look at the worldd with his eyes.

The  performance of some of the technology companies such as Apple, HCL and facebook is very optimistic.

Bill Gates amazing statement on  continued development and support of the Aids program . work on infant mortality. work in South East Asia, Haiti are continued demonstration of the improvements in human kind.

New discovery of a  star in constellation Libra which has similar conditions to Earch and promise  of holding life.  New discovery that orgination of life could be different for Americans and new genomic  reasons proving that humans in America  are descendants of 150k to 200k years ago migration to east and hypothesis that there was a land bridge to Russia, Europe and Usa.

New conjectures that humans occupied Earth at the same time as Neanderthals and could have evolved in parallel.

A most recent findings in particle physics about muons subatomic particles, where positives were thought to be  equal to negative particles is proven wrong and there is  latest conjecture  that positive ones are slightly more than negative ones.

In a recent exeriment in subatomic collideron in Switzerland, it appears that particles arrived before they left and  traveled faster than life.  This will change everything. We won’t know what time it is. We will not be  sure where we are.

These are fascinating times. How information and  technology has had new break throughs. There are opportunities to create solutions for  farmers who have no system for preserving their crop. There are opportunities for regulatory reforms triggered by occupy wall street  movements.  There  are  protests  against bale outs and for regulatory changes,  There is world unrest on economic and political conditions. The world is a highly unequal place. Population is growing faster in countries which is not able to tsupport them.

World is highly unstable, there is cross border terorrism, countries borders look like nests and not walls. Climate change and locales changes are on the anvil ,  growth of population is predicted  from 7 billion  to 9 billion by 2050 creating another 2 billion consumers.

Worlds three  poorest countries are in Africa, they need to build systems which are like  all of ours. We would be shocked to see if our screens failed, power failed or  airconditiong failed .

Successful society with commitment of shared prosperity has to have systems which reward hard work.

USA has plenty of systems , but systems have become  rigid and people use the system to their advantage. Spend time in steering USA in one way, Japan and Europe are all struggling to preserve their economic and social conditions.

BRIC countries have higher GDP but are not out of difficulty. Chinese promoted building and infrastucture and have grown faster than their economy could afford. They rivers run a serious risk of drying , their air has problems  with dust .  India has the world largest number of poor people and largest middle-class. Not good in connecting infrastructure. Russia has very good universities but still has not decided if society will be meritorious, Brazil has most remarkable record of economic recovery. Their debt is dramatically reduced. 80% of their power somes from  electricity, Brazil also has 80% non gasoline fuel from cane sugar. 29% of world sugarcane comes from Brazil. Hydropower is all in rainforest. Do they tear down rain forest? India has rainforest  protected in their law. Last year,  it was a big problem as  lot of top soil is required to grow sugarcane. We have taken over the good land and forced the soybean farmers to migrate.

In C40 meeting in Sau Paulo, it was inconceivable , heads of every business met and discussed their problems . Callenges are faced by all.

Japan had hugh growth rate but built infrastructure for 50 years. Europe is struggling as crisis was political and financial. Greece will be Equador or Alabama.  Alabama, Arkansol were running on balanced budget.  In 1990 Equador adopted the dollar, great deal, put more people to work. When things began to go down, they could come out build the economy and join again. We can’t stop. we need to  keep  working. Germany worked  hard to get to ninth  position after WW-II. Are they going to give up?

USA has many advantages- younger population, many innovations, venture capital market, American companies have $1.3Trillion in reserves.  But very troubling trends. Banking is frozen, USA is 12th in the world with 4 year degrees. South Korea has 4 times faster Internet. Overall in infrastructure USA is now 16th. Education outcomes we are not doing well. Trend lines are not good. Lot of this haloed in the decade before. All of USA growth was in finance and consumer spending. Every aspect of American life was leading earlier. I don’t mind we paying more taxes to help build education and healthcare, earlier individual  was primary beneficiary. Have more centers of economic growth. Find new sources of employment every 5-8 years. Germany has overtaken now. America spends highest in wind and solar energy reasearch. Lot of money but we should make it more structured and organized. What works in modern world, what works ,why growth happens, we should have productive  changes oriented networking to sieze opportunities .

What works in politics is the dissemination of information networks. Your market share and to survive in next market share. Now 100’s of tv channels are wooing for attention. 2010 election was in parallel an election in televised and social media.

Orlando has 100’s of computer simulation companies. It is a prosperity center. Disney, universal are global theme parks. Defense department and NASA also spends on simulation. The university of Florida  has 53000 students and competes with MIT. However , MIT has collaborated and taken advantage of the reasearch by leveraging and  taking stake in every new startup. They have also expanded their reach by collaborating over internet with other global universities.

The next American prosperity center will be where everyone is networked, people at pre contributing to work together. Congress should adopt surplus budgets, one cannot balance the budget without growth. If attempt is to impose austerity where  interest rate is zero, there is a chance that you may increase budget deficit. Can’t do without all three_ Growth, Deficit Reduction, Jobs Creation. Look around for more. San Diego is  turning out to be an epicenter of human genome, two major universities are offering courses to study human genome and have their research centers. Largest number of  noble prize winners are in SA Diego.

People don’t have time to be mad at each other. They are too busy creating opportunities and that is what this country needs. We cannot have full economic toll when we were flush then debt. Even if we do all these, all financial collapses of comanies/countries have taken five to ten years to get over. Our goal should be to beat that. How we can do this quickly.

Who are the leaders who would walk us through this troubled times? Franklin Rooslevet said that  ” We have to fear only outrselves”. We are fed up of Governments. George Washington articulated the vision. We will sacrifice everything for that. Rooslevelt knew no one had answers, he did something more relevant, he started an experiment and failed. How terrified we are in discovering a mistake. When I was the President, either I was wrong or I did not  know atleast once a day.  We should not let our egoes get in the way, citizens should not punish the  government when they fail.

If everyone just got on to do his /her job we should soon see this situation licked, we in the  USA have the best resources available to us.
